Prefabricated concrete products for buildings (walls and floors)

There is a wide variety of precast concrete floors, both reinforced and prestressed (the most common). In the majority of cases, they are combined with a cast-in-place compression slab, which on the one hand secures the various components together, and on the other provides a flat, smooth surface for the finishing elements (cladding).

We'll start by describing "manuportable" floor systems, which are more suited to single-family homes and small apartment buildings. We then go on to describe floor systems that require on-site transport and lifting equipment.
