The facilities for emergency vehicles must be able to be used by an 8 m long, 2.5 m wide pump-ton van, with a turning circle between walls of 19 m.

Tunnel installations
In tunnels over 1,000 m long, emergency vehicles must be able to pass from one tube to the other at intervals of around 800 m, if two tubes are present (and if this is possible), or to turn around in other cases.
