Road tunnel safety - Technical provisions

The entrance to a tunnel is indicated by signal C111 (figure 9a). It is forbidden to turn around, stop or park outside the emergency stopping places provided for this purpose. The low beam must be switched on. This sign must be installed as a position sign, and is supplemented by an M2 panel indicating the length of the structure below.

Signaling the end of a tunnel is optional. When deemed useful, it is provided by signal C112 (figure 9b) placed in position.
