INTRODUCTION
Abstract: The main aim of this study is to propose a new strengthening technique applicable to structures made of reinforced concrete, wood or metal, using bonding of reinforcement elements. The aim is to improve the mechanical performance of reinforced elements, both in service and at failure, by increasing their load-bearing capacity. The study reviews analyses carried out on structures to define the effectiveness of reinforcement on reinforced concrete, timber or mixed steel/concrete structures.
