4.1.1 Cracking
Thermal shock, the vector of linear variations and tensile and compressive stresses, falls from 31.9°C to 7.61°C (for the 0.5 cm hydraulic plaster), a reduction in the ratio of 4.2 to 1.
In terms of materials physics, this translates into a reduction in the amplitude of existing crack openings by the same ratio.
In other words, cracks that could open from 0.6 to 0.8 mm will see their opening amplitude remain below...
