Automation specifications. Functional analysis

In order to fully understand the problem of specifications, it is important to identify the different types to which they belong. The following dichotomies can be envisaged, depending on who they are intended for, or their place in the overall project schedule.

• Project or product specifications

The main characteristic of a project is that it is unique and made for a single customer, whereas the main characteristic of a product is that it is intended for a large number of customers who are not known when the product is designed.
