Definition reminder
Reliability R(t) is the probability that the system will operate without failure over the time interval [0, t].
Maintainability M(t) is the probability that the system will be returned to service at time t, knowing that it failed at t = 0.
Availability A(t) is the probability that the system will not fail at time t.
The aim of this example is to illustrate the performance in terms of reliability, availability and maintainability of a system made up of two components placed in parallel when these components are non-repairable or repairable.
