To do this, we'll start by describing an example application, chosen from the world of automated systems. Then we'll break it down very partially into a classical approach, a data-driven approach (which is the origin of the object-oriented approach), and finally an object-oriented approach.
With this in mind, we'll detail a number of rules for object-oriented programming, rules which are induced by the mechanisms of object-based languages, and which are designed to use them to the best of their potential, and for a better quality of development.
