Electromagnetic Compatibility; Electromagnetic Compatibility
Electromagnetic compatibility is the ability of a device, apparatus, or system to function satisfactorily in its electromagnetic environment (immunity) and without itself generating electromagnetic disturbances that are intolerable for all electrical/electronic equipment in that environment (emission).
Emission
Emission testing involves evaluating the electromagnetic disturbances emitted by equipment to verify that they remain within the specified limits, thereby allowing radio, telecommunications, and other devices to operate as intended.
Immunity; Immunity
Immunity is the ability of a device, apparatus, or system to operate without a degradation in performance in the presence of electromagnetic disturbances.
