1. Modulation and static converter of electrical energy
The definition of a static converter (SC) is that of a device which, combined with appropriate control, enables the management of electrical energy exchanges between a generator and a receiver. For the conversion devices under consideration, generator and receiver respectively impose voltages and currents, or vice versa. The CS consists at least of semiconductor switches. It is these switches which, by their change of state, enable the flow or interruption of electric current, and the connection of a node in the electrical circuit inside the CS to a point of potential. Since energy transfer can be reversible, for the sake of genericity, the terms input source (SE) and output source (SS) are used instead of generator and receiver respectively. As illustrated...
