The now classic applications of switched-capacitor filters are as follows:
filters for telephone lines, fax machines, modems ;
medical or acoustic instrumentation filters for frequency selection ;
filters for very low-level detection of signals embedded in broadband noise ;
low-selectivity noise rejection filters for general instrumentation ;
anti-aliasing filters for analog-to-digital converters ;
center-frequency tunable filters (ranges < 100 kHz).
