5. Filters specified in both amplitude and group time
With the exception of an analytical solution (Lerner filters, §
5.3
), there are practically only numerical solutions to this type of problem. However, if the group time specifications are not too stringent, a solution can often be found by choosing an attenuation function with minimal phase shift. We'll look at these cases in turn.
