MOPA; Master Oscillator Power Amplifier

A laser architecture consisting of a master oscillator followed by one or more amplification stages, allowing independent control of the signal’s temporal and spectral properties.

FBG; Fiber Bragg Grating

A Bragg grating embedded in an optical fiber, used for spectral selection, laser cavity formation, or temporal pulse control in fiber-based architectures.

Coherent Beam Combining; CBC

A technique for combining laser beams that requires active control of the relative phase between the beams in order to maintain beam quality close to the diffraction limit.
