1. Quadripoles
A quadripole (1) is a part of a linear network with no independent sources, connected to the outside by two ports, each with a pair of terminals. In the most general case, the Q quadripole contains sources linked to quantities internal to the quadripole. In addition, the current entering one connection of an access must exit through the other connection of the same access. We define the four characteristic quantities of the quadrupole V1, I1, V2 and I2.
