2. Applications

2.1 Dynamic applications

The most obvious application for flexible or flexible-rigid circuits is where frequent circuit deformation is required. A well-designed flexible circuit can be bent hundreds of thousands of times without degradation, provided the bending does not exceed the limits defined when the circuit was designed.

Although frequent circuit deformation is not necessary, flexible circuitry can be used to facilitate circuit assembly in tight or complex spaces....
