Designing an antenna involves building a structure whose radiation will have the desired characteristics (fine beam, omnidirectional...). We therefore need to know the mechanisms which, for example, enable us to obtain a directional antenna from a certain distribution of currents distributed over a particular surface (equation (42) ).
