2. Filter design

A filter is characterized by a transfer functionH(p) or H(z) determining the ratio of the output signal to the input signal. Most often, in the case of electrical filters, this is the ratio V 2 /V 1 of the previously defined input and output voltages (figure 2 ). In practice, a filter is characterized by two response curves: amplitude/frequency and phase/frequency.
