The composition of an amplifier block (figure 3) also corresponds to a modular functional breakdown of up to 256 amplifier modules for 400 kW.

Given the high power requirements, the amplifier modules are coupled on two series lines of up to 128 modules. A parallel coupling circuit included in the adapter block performs power summation. The matching block also includes impedance transformation to the output feeder. The circuits in the adapter block meet the requirements for direct coupling in multi-block versions.

To reduce the number of connections, signals to the modules are routed via distribution boards. All control information is transmitted in series and converted in parallel. One distribution board controls 32 modules.
