Ferroresonance in networks - Modeling and applications to circuit typology

Ferroresonance, like all non-linear phenomena, is relatively complex. As its occurrence is quite rare, it has been little-known until now. Within the mathematical framework of bifurcations, much of the surprising behavior can now be analyzed and, in a number of cases, explained, although there is still work to be done on these subjects using a new approach that would also draw on the mathematical and physical theories of nonlinear systems.

Numerical tools (cf. [Doc. D 92] )based on recent mathematical research are available for the numerical study of such circuits.
