1. System EMC approach
As we'll see later, the contributors to a system's EMC performance are many and varied, from the electronics and their enclosures, to the quality of the wiring and its layout within the system, to the metallization aspects and the materials used in the structures. As such, EMC of systems is not a self-centered activity; on the contrary, it requires significant interaction with a multitude of disciplines. As we shall see, a significant proportion of EMC requirements impact on the fields of mechanics, thermics and, of course, electronics.
