4. Conclusions
The two thermal studies reported in this document enable us to
prioritize the different ways of evacuating the dissipation generated
in an asynchronous electric motor. Comparing the thermal state of
an open motor and that of a closed motor, we note the major impact
of convective exchanges in the former, and the much lesser but not
negligible role of internal convective exchanges in the latter. Conversely,
while material properties (see tables
5
and
6
) and contacts between the various components
have a relatively modest influence on the thermal state of an open
engine, local temperature variations are of major importance in the
