4.1 Cascades of power machines from CARNOT
The basic cascade studied is shown in the (T, S) diagram in figure 6 . It corresponds to a series connection of two motors between a hot source (HS) and a cold sink (CS).
Successive cycles involve different fluids. It is therefore possible to select suitable fluids for each cycle, at least in terms of temperature levels.
