1. Thermodynamic cycle of a gas turbine

The approach adopted in this article is designed to enable the cycle of a gas turbine to be reconstructed from pressure and temperature measurements. Calculations of measurement uncertainties, the representativeness of the calculated average and flow measurement methods are assumed to be known. The influence of upstream conditions will be discussed in 1.3 .

The cost of fuel for a combined cycle operating at base load (8,000 h per year) represents up to 75% of the overall cost of the electricity produced: the efficiency of the plant, and therefore that of the gas turbine, is paramount....
