Produce low-carbon heat for industrial use

For new installations, in view of the forthcoming constraints on C0 ₂ emissions, the use of Joule-effect, induction heating devices making the most of electrical energy is to be preferred for process temperatures above 150°C.

Below 150°C, particularly for fluid heating, compression heat pumps, which consume electrical energy, are the preferred choice. The use of thermal renewable energies cannot be ruled out, but will remain marginal given the constraints associated with solar and geothermal resources.
