9. Our advice

9.1 Choose the right energy source for each temperature range

  • New installations, T° < 150 °C: Opt for an electric compression heat pump (COP > 2.5, immediate decarbonization).

  • New installations, T° > 150 °C: electric heating (Joule effect, induction) or green H 2 for very high temperatures.

  • Existing systems: Replace fossil fuels with biomass or biogas—often the quickest solution to implement and the one with the most subsidies.

In all cases: Start by recovering waste heat, a key driver of immediate cost savings.
