Local production of low-carbon hydrogen (fossil-free production)

Renewable energy sources include solar, wind, biomass, hydro, geothermal and nuclear power. These energy sources produce either electricity or heat. Hydrogen produced from these energy sources is decarbonized, i.e. hydrogen emits a low amount of CO ₂ emissions.

There are two ways to identify them.

Either the project owner has a solar power plant producing electricity or heat, or a biomass plant producing heat and/or electricity, a wind farm producing electricity, a hydroelectric plant, a geothermal plant producing electricity and/or heat.
