5. Water column properties
In this section, we list a number of properties that are part of the classic hydrological stripping procedure, but which are not state functions. Indeed, they do not refer to a homogeneous water parcel, characterized by unique p, t and S characteristics, but to a succession of parcels making up the vertical structure of water columns.
