Harnessing mycorrhizal fungi for a sustainable forest

In boreal, temperate and tropical forests (figure 1 ), plant communities interact with a multitude of micro-organisms (including bacteria and fungi). Numerous research programs aim to describe, characterize and model these multiple interactions, in order to manage forests sustainably and protect primary or minimally anthropized forests (figure 2 ).
