Measurements and processing of air pollutants in the agrifood industry

The agri-food sector is a major one in France, accounting for around 15% of all jobs. Among the various activities in this sector, we can identify the main ones according to product type:

• product processing (sugar, pastries, breads, etc.) ;

• beverages ;

• meats and by-products ;

• fresh produce ;

• fruit and vegetables ;

• fish and fish products ;

• oils and fats ;

• pet food.

The various activities listed may all generate air pollution inside the plant (cutting or packaging rooms, etc.), with external discharges (cooking or frying fumes, workshop ventilation, etc.) or from the storage of raw materials, products or...
