2. Example of Renault's Boulogne-Billancourt site
The Renault site in Boulogne was rehabilitated under the terms
of prefectoral decrees as part of the cessation of classified activities
linked to the automotive industry and carried out in this area since
the beginning of the last century. Most of the site was put up for
sale and converted into offices and housing, with a few establishments
open to the public.
The site covers some 50 ha (including Ile Seguin), and its redevelopment
has been divided into lots and spread over ten years or so, depending
on the schedule for releasing each lot.

Hydrogeological context
The site is located on a shallow alluvial groundwater table (between
5 and 10 m), underlain by three superimposed layers of soil with very
different hydraulic properties: modern clayey fill/alluvium, ancient
sandy-gravelly alluvium...
