ABSTRACT
All plants assimilate phosphates for their growth and reproduction. Thus, among wastewater treatment processes, one of the favored solutions is the implementation of physico-chemical dephosphatation within a series of reed-planted filters. Indeed, its release levels are excellent concerning carbonated pollution and nitrification. However, despite a promising start, plants cannot provide cheap solutions in terms of surface and furthermore, the performances in terms of phosphorus retention are minimal on the long term and even insufficient. Other processes aimed at increasing the retention of phosphorus are available including the use of minerals such as the apatite.

INTRODUCTION
Among wastewater treatment processes, reed filters have enjoyed considerable growth since the late 1990s. While the discharge levels of this process are excellent in terms of carbon pollution and nitrification, its performance in terms of phosphorus retention is minimal over the long term and sometimes insufficient.
