Management plan

The management of a polluted site or environment is essentially based on an assessment of the specific issues at stake. Analysis of the issues at stake involves identifying and then assessing in depth the impact (or effects) of pollution from a site, or of a remediation project, on a use, a function, a territory or a natural environment, in terms of public health and safety, public development, quality of life, ecological concerns and even heritage and landscape issues. This approach also integrates economic and social aspects. The management plan for a site is the result of this reflection; it must answer these three questions:
