Particle size

Measurement of the dimensions of the grains that make up a compound.

Hygroscopicity

The ability of certain bodies to absorb moisture from the air.

Lipoprotein

Molecular association of lipids and proteins. These molecules enable lipids, which are not very soluble in water, to circulate in the blood (in particular, they transport triglycerides and cholesterol).

Density

Physical quantity that characterizes the mass of a material per unit volume.

Fibrous particles

Particles in the form of fibers of varying lengths, such as asbestos or glass wool.
