5.1 Objectives and principles
The UK Offshore Operators Association (UKOOA), in partnership with the UK Petroleum Institute, research organizations and oil companies, has developed a research and development project on the subject of modeling and calculating the probability of ignition of liquid and gaseous hydrocarbon releases.
