Social security organizations play an important role in prevention.

• Caisse nationale d'assurance maladie des travailleurs salariés

  The CNAM-TS can request the extension, by interministerial decree, to the whole of France, of general prevention provisions issued by a Caisse d'Assurance Retraite et de la Santé au Travail (CARSAT) (formerly the Caisse Régionale d'Assurance Maladie, CRAM). These regulations cover the specific risks associated with the use of certain techniques (French Social Security Code, articles L. 422-1 and L. 422-4-3°).
