Blast wave propagation in tunnels

An explosion can have several origins:

• gas explosion ;

• bursting of a pressurized capacity ;

• explosion of a pyrotechnic charge ;

• dust explosion ;

• nuclear explosion ;

• etc.

All these explosions generate a pressure wave in the environment. Depending on the type of explosion, the waves will simply differ in intensity, duration and shape.

However, these waves obey the same laws of behavior, regardless of their origin.
