7.1 Authorization for 44 t trucks (Highway Code)

Decree no. 2012-1359 and the Order of December 4, 2012 on the authorized total rolling weight of land motor vehicles have made it possible since 1er January 2013 to raise the total authorized laden weight (PTAC) of a truck from 40 to 44 t. Until then, France was one of the last countries to have a 40 t limit. We talk about 44 t transport, but it's important to specify that this type of transport concerns all transports with a gross vehicle weight exceeding 40 t.
