5. Treated wastewater infiltration
The "technical specifications" order of September 7, 2009 specifies that, for soils with a permeability of between 10 and 500 mm/h, treated wastewater must be infiltrated. Any discharge into surface waters must be justified and authorized.
The priority given to infiltration of treated wastewater is explained by the microbiological quality of these discharges. Two studies carried out under in situ conditions over the last 10 years
