ABSTRACT

The impact of soil and water pollution on health and the environment is undisputable. Potentially hazardous substances are discharged by human activities, be they industrial, agricultural or domestic. In order to avoid numerous consequences at various scales, the detection and quantification of energetic compounds in soils have become essential. This article dealing with the extraction and quantitative analysis of these compounds, lists the major families of pollutants to be found in soils. This theme is illustrated by the general principle of the analysis of potentially contaminated soil as well as by the particular case of explosive surveillance.
