ISO 14001
introduces the process approach by requiring that the EMS processes referred to in the standard be identified and their interactions controlled. It does not impose a level of detail for these processes, leaving it up to the organization to determine them so that they meet its needs and compliance obligations.
Each organization has its own approach to establishing, concretizing and formalizing its processes (tables, graphs, diagrams, acronyms, symbols, special supports, format, terminology, etc.). It is strongly recommended that the organization use an operating mode or procedure to describe the practical rules for developing a process.
