2. How does the application process work?
The authorization procedure takes a minimum of eight months. A commitment was made in the program to strengthen and modernize the inspection of classified facilities to process 70% of new project applications in less than a year.
To begin with, the Prefect of the département forwards the authorization application file to the Classified Installations Inspectorate (DREAL or DDPP) for examination.
The examination of the file covers the various elements listed below.
