Once an equivalent size and a suitable measurement technique have been selected, particle size analysis can be performed. Generally speaking, the particle size analysis of a powder consists of determining the size of a significant and representative set (sample) of particles and circumscribing this information using ad hoc statistical formalisms. This analysis requires reworking the raw results to establish the granulometric distribution or breakdown of the population in the form of a table, graph or mathematical expression (distribution law or function).
