The tree line includes :
a solid upper shaft transmitting forces to the bearings and gearbox ;a lower shaft receiving the moving parts (choosing a tubular shaft instead of a solid shaft, for equivalent mechanical strength, saves material and therefore weight, a decisive factor for the agitator's critical speed).
The lower shaft is either "abandoned" or pendular, or guided by the bottom for longer lengths (> approx. 5 m).
