1. General presentation
These separators are available in two versions: a cyclic version (copper or superconducting solenoids) with a capacity of up to 200 t/h, and a continuous, carousel-type version with a capacity of up to 800 t/h (copper dipole solenoid).
The dies used in SMHG are made up of stacks of expanded metal grids, wire mesh, iron wool or foam (figure 2 of article

, or balls.
The use of this type of extraction matrix in high-gradient separators is perfectly suited to the complex problems encountered in ultrafine product purification or recovery operations.
