Thermodynamic constants

Numerical illustrations are provided throughout the text to show how to apply the formulas and associated tables. At the end of this article, we have put together a few examples, the aim of which is to give engineers a clear understanding of the benefits that can be derived from this development, in different types of technical problem: thermal expansion of liquids, compression or expansion, sonic flow, etc. Examples include expansion vessel volumes, the mechanical and thermal powers involved in thermodynamic evolutions, and the size of a safety valve to protect a pressurized installation.
