2. Nanometric objects
The objects we are considering have at least one dimension close to the nanometer. We will limit ourselves here to two families: aggregates, for which certain points of physics need to be clarified, and carbon nanofibers, which are now a major topic. The production methods and properties of two-dimensional systems (and quantum wells), other one-dimensional systems (nanowires) and quantum boxes will be discussed in other chapters.
