Overview

ABSTRACT

Nanosciences, nanotechnologies and nanomaterials are highly important achievements. These terms, which have become common over the last few years, nonetheless remain complex as, unlike their name implies, they do not necessarily refer to the nanometric scale. This article provides a complete introduction to nanomaterial and nanotechnologies. Advances in the scientific and technological domain are thus presented, such as nanometric objects, the manufacture of nanostructured objects, electronic devices, magnetic nanomaterials as well as nanomaterials for optics and optoelectronics.
