The treatment of cancerous tumors is a real public health issue, and for many years now, the scientific community has been working on themes involving disciplines as diverse as medicine (oncology), cell biology, chemistry, pharmacy (galenics, vectorization and targeting) and even particle physics, in particular radiation-matter interactions... Various approaches and strategies have been explored. While significant advances have been made in some forms of cancer, others have resisted the therapeutic arsenal developed to date (surgery, chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy). The case of glioblastoma (the most common brain tumour) is emblematic, as the survival of patients currently treated is no better than that observed thirty years ago.
