Maple software can be implemented on a variety of operating systems: Windows, Linux, Unix, Macintosh. The interface presented below is that of Windows. The syntaxes of the various functions remain the same whatever the system.

Choice of interface

Maple version 10 offers two types of environment. The default version and the "Classic Worksheet" version. The standard version offers an environment for creating interactive worksheets, in the spirit of Visual Basic or the Matlab interface. As the aim of this article is more calculation-oriented, we'll leave this aspect of the software to one side. We'll be using the "Classic Worksheet" environment.
