INTRODUCTION
The attachment of a ligand to a metal leads to a redistribution of polarities within the ligand. Bringing together the atoms of two different ligands through coordination to the same metal atom, and the appearance of particular polarities, leads to an intramolecular interaction that results in an insertion reaction.
